Parks and Recreation

  1. Summer Playground Program (Ages 6-13)

    July 9, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM @ Steffens Park Fort Fraser

    This program includes daily activities such as arts & crafts, sports, games and more! Children must be signed in and out by a parent/guardian and we recommend that they bring a lunch and/or snacks daily. On Wednesdays we will meet at Somerset Pool for a day of swimming and will have the option to purchase a pizza lunch for $3. Incase of inclement weather an alternate location will be used. Each week is $95 Residents, $120 non-Residents. Each week includes 1 shirt which we will decorate as a craft. Purchase 6 weeks and get one free!

  2. Senior Pickleball

    July 9, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM @ Fraser Activity Center

    Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays at 9:30 am This fun program is co-ed drop-in and seniors from every community are welcome to play at the Activity Center. Don’t know how to play? Call the Center to set up a lesson! Drop-in fee: $1 members, $2 non-members.

  3. Seniors Scarlet Ladies of Fraser

    July 9, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Fraser Activity Center

    The Scarlet Ladies group meets at the Fraser Activities Center on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for conversations, friendship, lunches and outings-whatever we want to do! You must be a member of the Fraser Activity Center and $25 if you’re a Fraser resident & $35 if you reside outside of Fraser. Our only rules are to wear purple and a RED hat and have fun!   4. Senior Chair Yoga

    July 9, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Fraser Activity Center

    Tuesdays at 11 am, 6 week sessions starting July 2nd and August 13th Chair yoga focuses on increasing movement and using a chair assures that people of all abilities are able to participate. Cost for 6 sessions is $26 members, $32 non-members.

    July 9, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Fraser Activity Center

    Matter of Balance presented by Area Agency on Aging 1-B Tuesdays for 8 weeks, Beginning June 4th from 1pm to 3pm (skipping July 2nd) Do you have concerns about falling? Join this class presented by the Macomb Area Agency on Aging to learn informational tips, group exercises to increase strength, flexibility and endurance while sharing solutions and positive thinking! A Matter of Balance is an evidence based program for seniors who want to learn more about preventing falls and want to live an overall heathier, more positive life! Cost is $8.00 for 8 sessions. Don’t miss your chance on this popular program!
