MPARKS Virtual 5K

September 2st – September 30th – Register today!

Walk, run, bike, skate, swim your way to completing a virtual 5K! Log your distance and at the end of the month a participation medal will be sent to you. Sign up to collect donations to receive more prizes!  Fraser Recreation receives 50% of participant fees and the donations! Fraser POC Fighter Open House & Family Fall Fest at Steffens Park

Saturday, October 5th from 11-4pm

Join the City of Fraser and its many departments and supporters as we have some fall fun! Pumpkins, face painting, cider and donuts, bounce house, storytelling, crafts and much more! Learn about our very own Fire and Police departments and view our Big Rig Car Show!



Fall Fest Crafter/Vendor Show

Saturday, October 5th from 11-4pm

We are accepting Crafters, Vendors, Civic Organizations and Farmers to be in our Fall Market! Cost is $20 for a 12x12ft area. Only 10x10 tents are allowed. Canopy, chairs and tables are on your own. Setup for the event will begin at 8:30 am, no earlier. Area must be set up by 10:45 am, no later.

Send in your application request by Monday, September 23rd. A staff member will contact you within 3 business days to approve or deny your application. Payment is required within 1 week of approval. We will only allow 1 vendor from any direct sales company or specific company, UNLESS there is something that makes each company different (example: We will allow multiple Lullaroe consultants due to the differences in the items). When submitting your application request, please state in detail exactly what you will be selling. Any food items must follow local and state regulations. If you are unsure of what these regulations are, please contact the Macomb County Health Department. You can only sell the items you place on your application, however if you need to add items you may call the office prior to registration deadline and we can add them as long as it doesn't conflict with something else. The Recreation staff reserve the right to deny an application if we deem it to be too similar to something else at the event.

Fraser Chili and Soup Cook Off

Saturday, October 5th 12-2:00 pm - During the Fall Festival

One person will be named for best chili and best soup in Fraser!  All entries must be brought to the festival by 11:30 am hot and in a crock-pot with a serving spoon or ladle. No serving utensils will be provided. Tasting cups for the public will be $2.50 per person, proceeds go to the Fraser Goodfellows. Judging will end at 2 pm, votes will be tallied and winners announced at 2:30 pm. Register here by October 2nd 2019: bit.ly/fraserchilicookoff



Park Clean Up

Saturday, October 12th from 9 – 12 pm

At all Fraser Parks

Share your love for your hometown and spend some time outdoors at our park cleanup! You have the option of going to your neighborhood park and doing some yard cleanup or meeting at Steffens Park or McKinley Park for some larger projects. Volunteers will be treated to a pizza lunch. Can’t make it to the Saturday cleanup? Pick up yard waste bags from the Recreation to register to volunteer at the parks between Monday, October 7th – Sunday October 13th! Post your Clean Up Selfies on our Facebook page and we will draw a winner on Monday October 14th!



Glow Bike Parade

Saturday, October 26th at 6 pm at McKinley Park

All ages are invited to bring your bike out to decorate and parade around bike path at McKinley Park! Craft Supplies and glow sticks will be provided, however you are welcome to bring your own supplies. Sign up your family so we can have enough supplies!  Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place bikes. 



Fraser LIons Club Children's Halloween Party

Sunday, October 27th 11:30 am or 1:30 pm

At the Fraser Lions Club

Celebrate with the Lions Club and Fraser Recreation! This party is FREE for residents and non-residents attending Fraser Public Schools. Tickets are required and available at the Fraser Activity Center beginning September 2nd. Limit of 6 per household. Get your tickets before Friday, October 25th!



Letters to Santa

Monday, November 25th to Wednesday, December 18th

Kids are encouraged to write a letter to Santa and put it in the drop box at the Fraser Activity Center! Santa will reply to all boys and girls who also include a self-addressed envelope in with their letter.



Christmas in Fraser

Saturday, December 7th

Caroling at 5:30, Ceremony at 6pm at Fraser City Hall

Join us as we ring in the Holidays at City Hall! We will sing Christmas carols, enjoy refreshments and welcome Santa to Fraser! Smores, Music, Performances and more! All ages are welcome and encouraged. This is a free event. Please dress for the weather.



Fraser Christmas Decoration Contest

This holiday nominate a neighbor for a contest for best decorations! To nominate, email the home address and contact information of the homeowner (if known) to by 2:30 pm on Friday 12/13.

We are also looking for volunteer judges! Ride on our bus to view all the nominations on Monday 12/16. Apply by 2:30 pm Friday 12/6 by emailing your contact information to . Seven judges will be picked at random.

           Entry Applications must be received no later than 2:30 pm on Friday, December 13, 2019.

           Judge volunteer applications must be received no later than 2:30 pm on Friday, Dec 6, 2019.

           Up to 7 judges will be randomly picked from Judge volunteer applications.

           Judging will be based on “curb appeal” as viewed from the street only. Only those decorations located on the street side of the property will be judged (corner lots will be judged from both streets). Judges will not enter the property to view back or side yards.

           Participants agree to have one or more photos of their decorated residence exterior posted on the City Website and/or published in the City newsletter. Participant agrees there will be no compensation of any kind for said posting or publication.

           Judging criteria will include [a] Unique design and creative use of lights and decorations; [b] theme or cohesive style; [c] Display and placement of decorations, animated objects, etc.; and [d] Overall presentation.

           Judging will be done from 6:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, 12/16/19.

           Participants should ensure that all lights, animations and decorations are in place and activated for the judging periods.

           First and Runner Up will be awarded with a commemorative ornament.

           Winners will be announced on the City Website and Facebook on Wednesday, December 18th 2019
