Crazy Fit Kids

Tuesdays starting April 10th Grades 1-4 at 6:00pm, Grades 5-8 at 7:00pm

It's time to start training to be a stronger, healthier you!! This boot-camp inspired kids classis designed to get you moving and having a blast! Join Powerhouse Gym certified Trainer Billy as you work out and have fun! Cost is $50 residents and $62 for non-residents for five weekly 45 minute sessions at the Activity Center Gym. Register by April 6th at the Activity Center, online or by mail.

High School Co-Ed Dodgeball League
Sunday Evenings beginning June 24th
Games start at 4pm location TBD
This sport is perfect for staying active during the winter and having fun! The season consists of 5 regular season games and single elimination playoffs. Games are 5v5 and will have a 4-minute time limit, each match will be best of 9 games.  League is limited to 8 teams. Cost is $135 per team, Registration ends June 19th. 

Easter Egg Hunt 
Saturday, March 24th
11 am and 1 pm sessions
The Easter Bunny is coming to town! Children are invited to hunt for Easter eggs, make an Easter craft, enjoy refreshments, and more! Don’t forget to bring a camera to take a picture with the Easter Bunny! Tickets are FREE but limited. Free tickets for Residents available starting Thursday, February 1st for Residents, Non-residents starting Thursday, March 1st. Tickets limited to six per household. ID required at time of pick-up.

Easter Coloring Contest
Coloring sheets for ages 2-8 and special needs are currently available at the Activity Center. Contest winners will be announced at the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24th. A first place and runner up prize will be given to each age division. All submissions must be in by Friday, March 23rd 2:30 pm. 

Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt
Friday, March 23rd , 5:30 pm doors, event from 6 pm – 8:30 pm
Teens from 6th grade – 8th grade are invited to our very first Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt! We will have a pizza party, hunt for eggs, play board games and dodgeball in the gym! Please bring a flashlight, no spotlights or flood lights please. Cost is $5 for Fraser School District Students, $9 for Non-School District students. Parent volunteers needed! Call the office to register to volunteer.

Teddy Bear Picnic
Saturday, April 14th at 10:30am – 12:30 pm
Location TBD
Children ages 3-10 can bring your favorite teddy bear for a fun picnic! We will have a picnic lunch, Teddy Bear games, Story Telling, craft and even cookie decorating! Cost for a child is $6/Resident, $8/Non-Resident, 1 adult included with each child’s ticket. Children under 5 are required to have a parent attend with them.

Mom and Me: Glamour Spa
Sunday, April 29th, 4-6:30 pm
Moms and 4-16-year-old Daughters will have a glamourous time at our Mom and Daughter Spa! We’ll have hors d’oeuvres, a multitude of spa treatments and a fragrant sachet craft that mom and daughter can do! To remember this time together everyone will have a glamour photoshoot with a keepsake copy to remember this fantastic day! Cost is $12 resident/ $16 non-resident. Register by Wednesday, April 25th.

Cinco de Mayo
Saturday May 5th, 6 – 7:30 pm at the Roseville Eastpointe Recreation Center
Roseville Eastpointe Recreation and Fraser Recreation are teaming up for a fun-filled Cinco de Mayo party for kids! More information to come!

Mom and Son Bowling
Saturday, May 12th At 12pm At Fraser Star Lanes
Have some Mom & Son bonding at our Bowling Party! Moms and sons of all ages are welcome! Event includes pizza, pop, shoes, 2 games of bowling and a special craft for the boys to make a gift for mom! To remember the day we will take a picture of mom and son and you will receive a photo keepsake! This event sold out quickly last year so get your tickets beginning Monday, February 1st! Cost per person is $12 resident/ $16 non-resident. Must show ID at time of purchase. Get your tickets before Friday, April 27th.

Teen Night DIY Marshmallow Shooters
Thursday, May 24th, 5:45 doors, event from 6 – 8 pm Location TBD
Boys and Girls grades 6-8 are invited for some DIY fun! Teens will be using instructions along with guidance from staff to make and decorate their own marshmallow shooters! Then we’ll have a pizza party and have a marshmallow accuracy contest and an all out marshmallow battle! Cost is $16 for Fraser School District students, $20 for non-school district students. Parent volunteers needed! Contact the office to volunteer!

Summer Programs

Programs will begin the week of June 18th and end the week of August 6th. No program on 4th of July Week. Ages determined as of December 1st 2018, Grade level determined by the 2018-19 school year. Payment Plans accepted, contact the office for arrangements. Updates will be given to phone numbers and email addresses provided at registration. Additional T-Shirts may be purchased for $7 each at the time of registration. Registrations after June 8th will have a $9 late fee. The Recreation Department reserves the right to change locations, times or combine grade levels when necessary. Refunds before program start will be minus $5 administrative cost and any supply cost if applicable. No refunds after 72 hours before start of program. 

Summer Playground Program (Ages 6-13)
Mon., Tues.  & Thurs. @ Steffens Park Fort Fraser, Wed. @ Somerset Pool
9-3 pm with extended times available
This program includes daily activities such as arts & crafts, sports, games and more! Children must be signed in and out by a parent/guardian and we recommend that they bring a lunch and/or snacks daily. On Wednesdays we will meet at Somerset Pool for a day of swimming and will have the option to purchase a pizza lunch for $3. Children must wear their program shirt every day. Additional shirts are available for purchase. 
9am – 3pm: $290 Residents, $330 Non-Res (that’s between $12-$14 per day!) Extended time from 8-9am and  3-5pm is an additional $180. 

T-ball & Coach Pitch 

Tuesday and Thursday Nights, T-Ball @ 6:15 PM, Coach Pitch @ 7:30 PM
T-Ball (Ages 6-7) and Coach Pitch (Ages 8-10) are team based programs which will offer skill-building practices and a regular season game schedule. All practices and games will take place at Fraser High School's softball fields. Participants must bring their own glove and helmet. This program is staff coached, but parent volunteers are needed. $60 Residents, $73 Non-Residents

3v3 Basketball (Grades 1-8)
Monday and Wednesday Mornings, Grades 1-2 @ 9 AM, Grades 3-4 @ 10 AM, Grades 5-6 @ 11 AM, Grades 7-8 @ 12 PM
This 3v3 program will teach and enforce skill development while playing 2-3 games a day after a week or two of drills and practices. Location TBD. $60 Residents, $70 Non-Residents

Little Sluggers (Ages 4-5)
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:15 PM @ Richards Middle School Diamonds
This 45-minute program will be a fun introduction to the basics of T-Ball while also teaching how to work as a team. This program is staff coached, but parent volunteers are needed. Participants must bring their own glove and helmet. $50 Residents, $60 Non-Residents

Little Kickers (Ages 4-5)
Tuesday and Thursday Mornings, Session I @ 10 AM, Session II @ 11 AM
Steffens Park, at the Willow Pavilion
This 45-minute program will be an introduction to the basics of soccer. This program is staff coached, but parent volunteers are needed. $50 Residents, $60 Non-Residents

Girls Sand Volleyball (Grades 4-8)
Tuesday and Thursday Mornings, Grades 4-5 @ 10 AM, Grades 6-8 @ 11 AM
Steffens Park Volleyball Courts
This program will help aspiring volleyball players practice drills and sharpen skills in practices and games. All volleyball sessions will take place at the sand volleyball court at Steffens Park near the Fraser VFW Hall. This program is staff coached, parent volunteers are welcome. $60 Residents, $73 Non-Residents

Cheerleading (Grades K-6)
Wednesday Nights, Grades K-2 @ 6 PM, Grades 3-5 @ 7 PM
Cheering is high energy fun! Join our cheerleading coaches in learning cheers and making friends! Location TBD $45 Residents, $58 Non-Residents

Tennis (Ages 6-12)
Mondays and Wednesdays, Beginners @ 10 AM, Intermediate @ 11 AM 
This is a five-week instructional tennis program for beginner and intermediate tennis players. Participants are required to bring their own tennis racquet. Location TBD. $55 Residents, $68 Non- Residents.

Simply Sports (Grades K-1)
Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:15pm, location varies
Kids grades K-2 will have a blast playing 7 different sports over 6 weeks! Most sports will have one day of practices and one day for the game. Sports covered will be Basketball, Tball, soccer, Floor Hockey, Flag Football, Bowling and Mini Golf. This program is staff coached, but parent volunteers are needed. Cost is $73 Residents, $85 Non-Residents. 

Sport Mashup (Grades 2-8)
Mondays and Wednesdays Grades 2-4pm 6:00 pm, Grades 5-8 7:30 pm Location Varies
Kids grades 2-4, 5-8 will have a blast playing 12 different sports over 6 weeks! Each session will have a half hour going over basics of the sport and 45 minutes of game play. This is a great program for kids to try out different sports to see which ones they really enjoy! Sports covered: Flag Football, Kickball, Dodgeball, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Floor Hockey, Softball, Tennis, Rugby, Bowling and Mini-golf. This program is staff coached, but parent volunteers are needed. $73 Residents, $85 Non-Residents
