Junk Drawer Science

Tuesday, February 11th, March 10th and April 7th at Fraser City Hall Grades K-5th 6:30 pm
 

Join Engineer Rachel as she guides kids through some fin science experiments! Pre-Registration required, spaces are limited! This is a FREE program but donations are accepted! Non-residents can register 2 weeks before program start date. No-Shows will be dropped from any future programs dates. 


Crazy Fit Kids

Tuesdays, March 3rd and April 21st

Location TBD

Grades 1-8 at 6:30 pm

It’s time to start training to be a stronger, healthier you! This boot-camp inspired kids class is designed to get you moving and having a blast! Join Powerhouse Gym Certified Trainer Billy as you work out and have fun. Cost is $50 for Residents & $62 Non-Residents for five 45 minute sessions. Registration deadline is one week prior to session start.





Computer Science Club

Starting Friday-February 7 and March 6  for 4 weeks

5:30 pm At Fraser City Hall

Kids from 1st-6th grade are invited to explore Block Coding, a programming language that makes it easy to create interactive art, stories, simulations, and games. Club members will also use these concepts to program robots! This club is limited to 20 children, and all materials are included for the use during the program. Cost is $40/Resident $45/Non-Resident for 4 weeks of activities, Registration deadline is 1 week prior to start date.



Family Yoga

Wednesdays, February 5th-February 26th for 4 weeks

Ages-Newborn & up 


Location at Emerson Elementary School  from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm 
Introduce yoga and mindfulness to the whole family! This class will explore different elements of yoga such as movement, breath, and focus in a playful way, with the curiosity to explore habits of mindfulness and emotional balance. Suitable for all ages and experience levels. Cost is $45 per household of 6 for 4 weeks.


K-1, 2-3 grade Floor Hockey

Wednesdays, beginning March 25th 2020

K-1 Clinic at 6:30 pm, 2-3 Clinic at 7:30 pm, 4-6 Clinic at 8:30 pm @ Edison Elementary 

Location is at Edison Elementary School

Kindergarten through 3rd grade will have an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of floor hockey, develop skills and play games. Program lasts 6 weeks. Register by Friday, March 13th. Cost is $55/Res, $65/Non and will include team shirt and instruction.



Hip Hop Dance Class

Saturdays, beginning March 7th-April 18th

Grades K-2 at 9:30 am, Grades 3-6 at 10:30 am Location at Richards Middle School 

No Class on April 11th 

Join dance instructor Tyeisha to learn some great moves and choreography to have fun and exercise! Program is 6 weeks long. Cost is $55 for Residents/$65 Non-Residents and includes instruction and shirt. Please wear tennis shoes and non-restrictive clothing. Register by February 28th. 


Parent & Tot "Playschool"

Session 1 Thursdays April 16-May 21

Session 2 Thursdays May 28th-July 2nd 
Ages 2.5-5 yrs

Fraser City Hall from 6 pm -7 pm 

Join our Teacher, Ms. Cindi in this interactive class with preschool activities and routines. Includes circle time, story time, music, and movement. Parents or designee must stay with child during class and participate. Cost is $55 Resident and $65 Non-Resident. Register one week prior to start date.  


Bizzare Sports Mash-Up

Saturdays – April 25 – June 6 (No May 23)

Grades 3-5: 10:00 – 11:00am

Grades 6-8: 11:00am – 12:00pm

Take a seat baseball, we’ve got some bizarre and wacky sports being offered in your neighborhood! During this six-week session, participants will learn the fundamentals of three “bizarre” sports followed by a session of game play.  Flag rugby, lacrosse and disk golf are three sports that are typically not the norm, but hold all the great qualities of typical team sports.  Take a chance on learning a new sport and meeting new friends along the way! The first three weeks will be held at Steffens Park and the following three weeks will be held at a park in Eastpointe or Roseville. All equipment is provided at the sessions. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, cost is $60 Resident, $70 Non-Resident
